Our Community Guidelines are our code of conduct. Everyone has a part in making Play Date welcoming.
Effective September 1, 2026
Make room for one another.
Welcome families with different backgrounds, abilities, personalities, and family structures. Bullying, harassment, discrimination, threats, and physical aggression have no place at Play Date.
Stay responsible for your children.
A parent, guardian, or responsible adult must be present and supervise their children throughout the event. Our host organizes the gathering. Play Date does not provide drop-off childcare.
Respect everyone’s boundaries.
No one has to hug, join a game, share personal information, or pose for a photograph. Give children and adults room to warm up and choose how they participate.
Support children kindly.
Children are learning how to play together. Approach disagreements calmly, involve the child’s caregiver, and ask the host for help when needed.
Ask before taking or sharing photos.
Get the caregiver’s permission before photographing or sharing an identifiable image of someone else’s child. Respect the child’s wishes and other families’ privacy.
Play considerately.
Follow the venue’s rules, use equipment as intended, and look after shared spaces. Ask a caregiver before offering food to their child.
Speak up when something feels wrong.
Talk to the host about concerns during an event, or contact the organizer privately through your Eventbrite booking. If someone is in immediate danger, contact emergency services.
When we need to step in
A host may pause an activity, ask someone to leave, or restrict future attendance for serious or repeated violations of these guidelines.
These guidelines explain community expectations. Event-specific venue rules and booking terms also apply.
