Who we are
Play Date organizes family Socials, Adventures, and chapter opportunities in Southeastern Wisconsin. Questions or privacy requests may be sent to jeremy@playdatecommunity.org.
Event registration
Adult caregivers register and, when required, pay through Eventbrite. Eventbrite processes registration and payment information under its own privacy policy and terms. Play Date receives the booking details needed to run the event, which may include an adult's name and contact information, the number of attendees, children's age bands, and any access or dietary information a caregiver chooses to share.
Children should not submit information or create accounts. An adult caregiver must complete each registration.
How we use information
We use registration information to manage attendance, send event details and changes, support safety and accessibility, answer questions, process refunds, and meet accounting or legal obligations. We do not sell personal information.
Community and partnership inquiries
The Start a Chapter, Ambassador, Play Shop, and sponsorship interest forms securely store the information you submit so Play Date can respond, evaluate fit, plan future offerings, and manage the conversation.
Email list
When an adult joins the Play Date email list, we store the email address and consent date, plus any first name or ZIP code they choose to provide. We also record the landing page, referring website, and campaign label when available so we can understand how families find Play Date. We use this information to send Play Date event announcements and community news, understand where families would like Play Date to grow, and maintain unsubscribe records. We do not sell this information.
We count page visits and clicks to Eventbrite so we can understand which events families find useful. We use Google Analytics for information such as pages viewed, general location, device type, referring website, and interactions with the site. Google Analytics may use cookies and similar technology. We do not send names, email addresses, or children's information to Google Analytics, and we do not use this information to sell personal data.
When you submit an ambassador or chapter inquiry, Play Date stores the information you provide so we can respond and manage the conversation.
When you join a city interest list, we store the adult contact information, ZIP code, broad family age ranges, experience preferences, and involvement interest you choose to provide. We use it to measure local demand, plan a possible chapter, and send city-specific launch or event updates. We do not request children's names or birth dates.
You may unsubscribe from future messages or ask us to remove your information by emailing jeremy@playdatecommunity.org. We use Resend to deliver signup welcome emails, organizer notifications, and other Play Date emails. Resend processes the information needed for delivery.
Website operation
This website uses first-party counts and Google Analytics to measure visits and Eventbrite clicks. We do not currently use this data for personalized advertising. Our hosting provider may process limited technical information needed to deliver and secure the site, such as an IP address, device information, and request logs.
Photos and community privacy
Ask a caregiver before taking or sharing an identifiable photo of their child, and respect the child's wishes. Any organizer photography and consent choices will be explained before or at the event. The family artwork on this website is illustrative and does not show Play Date attendees.
How long we keep information
We keep information only as long as it is reasonably needed for the event, chapter pilot, customer support, accounting, safety, or legal requirements. We delete or anonymize information when it is no longer needed.
Your choices
You may ask to access, correct, or delete information held by Play Date by emailing jeremy@playdatecommunity.org. Some information may need to be retained when required for a transaction, safety record, or legal obligation. Eventbrite privacy requests should be directed to Eventbrite.
Changes to this notice
We may update this notice as Play Date grows or its services change. The effective date above will be updated when we make material changes.
