MEET A FELLOW PARENT
Hi, I’m Jeremy—a local dad.
I’m also the founder of Fojut Ventures, where I build the infrastructure of connection: real places, shared experiences, and repeated opportunities that help people form relationships and push back against loneliness. I created Play Date to bring that work to families. Each gathering gives kids a natural way to meet other kids and gives parents space to connect, too. We’re starting one event at a time with a simple goal: turn first hellos into familiar faces and help local families build community that lasts. Questions are always welcome before you register.
9:45 to 10:10 AM · Arrive and make the First Hello
Find the Play Date banner near Atwater Park Playground, check in, and meet your small Friend Circle. Families can settle in before the playground activities begin.

10:10 to 10:45 AM · Atwater playground play
Children can explore the playground and try optional Recipe for Friendship missions, including saying hello, finding something in common, sharing a game, and doing one kind action.

10:45 to 11:00 AM · Drive or bike to Lake Park
Families travel independently about two miles to Lake Park. Driving usually takes 5 to 8 minutes, and biking typically takes about 10 to 15 minutes. We will share the second address before everyone leaves.

11:00 AM to 12:15 PM · Lake Park, recipes, and cocoa
Regroup at Lake Park Playground for more play, a partner challenge, the optional holiday recipe exchange, and hot chocolate. Adults can exchange contact information if both families would like to reconnect.

12:15 to 12:30 PM · Optional casual play
The structured program ends at 12:15 PM. Families may stay for casual play and goodbyes until 12:30 PM or leave whenever they are ready.
How the Friendsgiving recipe exchange works
Bring a favorite holiday recipe on paper or submit it after the event. It can be meaningful, traditional, delightfully strange, or simply something your children will actually eat.
Sharing is optional. We will gather the recipes into a Play Date Friendsgiving Family Recipe Book and email it to participating families. Please review ingredients and allergens before preparing any shared recipe.
Travel, weather, and supervision
Families may drive or bike independently from Atwater Park to Lake Park. We are not traveling as a caravan. Street or public parking is available near both parks, so allow extra arrival time.
This is an outdoor, caregiver-supervised event. Registered families will receive the final arrival details and any weather update by 8:00 AM on event day.

Good to know
A responsible adult stays and supervises every child throughout. Register every attendee, including anyone whose admission is free. Families arrange their own transport unless the listing states otherwise.
