WHY DO THIS AS A PLAY DATE?

Because connection needs a place to start.

The trail hunt and food class give everyone something to do together, making first conversations easier for kids and parents.

  • No awkward standing around

A shared trail hunt and food activity give children and adults an easy place to begin.

  • Parents are part of the Social

The event includes time for caregivers to talk while children play nearby and everyone settles in at their own pace.

  • Familiar faces can grow

Monthly Socials give families a free, low-pressure way to reconnect instead of starting over every time.

YOUR RSVP INCLUDES

More than a place to go.

  • A hosted welcome and family introductions
  • The trail hunt and shared play prompts
  • Monica’s family food class and tastings

MEET A FELLOW PARENT

Hi, I’m Jeremy—a local dad.

I’m also the founder of Fojut Ventures, where I build the infrastructure of connection: real places, shared experiences, and repeated opportunities that help people form relationships and push back against loneliness. I created Play Date to bring that work to families. Each gathering gives kids a natural way to meet other kids and gives parents space to connect, too. We’re starting one event at a time with a simple goal: turn first hellos into familiar faces and help local families build community that lasts. Questions are always welcome before you register.

Meeting point update

We are confirming an accessible Milwaukee-area park with the right trail and food-class setup. Registered families will receive the address, meeting point, access information, and weather plan by email before the Social.

Why the park is being confirmed

A food class and tastings with Monica

At 11:30 AM, Monica from Eat Pretty Please will lead a family food class with tastings as the featured moment of this free Social. Gather with other families to learn about food and discover flavors together. Taking part in the tastings is optional. Please arrive by 11:20 AM if your family wants to join the class.

The class topic, format, tasting ingredients, and dietary accommodations will be shared once confirmed. Please check ingredients with Monica before tasting; do not assume the food is allergen-free.
